And, with seven seats as standard, new hybrid powertrains, and innovative new technologies, the All-New Sorento makes a compelling offering in the SUV class. There will be three generously equipped trims – ‘2’, ‘3’ and ‘4’ – but all grades come with a generous level of specification as standard. Space, comfort and technology Premium-quality materials and cutting-edge infotainment mark out the All-New Sorento as a true flagship model.
Sorento 3

Passenger space and practically remain uncompromised, with plenty of head, leg and shoulder room in all three rows, and a truly cavernous cargo space. Efficient new powertrains For the first time, Sorento is available with a self-charging hybrid powertrain. A 1.6-litre T-GDi engine works with a 1.49kWh lithium-ion polymer battery pack and a 44.2kW electric motor to produce 226bhp and 350Nm torque. This engine is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. A 2.2-litre CRDi diesel is also available – producing 199bhp and 440Nm torque. It’s paired with Kia’s new eight-speed wet dual-clutch transmission and all-wheel drive. New plug-in hybrid versions will be introduced in Quarter 1 2021.
Sorento 4
Exciting new features The All-New Sorento becomes the first Kia in the UK to be fitted with a Bose TM Premium Sound System (standard on the ‘4’ grade). The system includes 12 high-performance speakers and a subwoofer, which allows for all-round immersive sound. All-New Sorento is also the first UK Kia to offer the Blind-spot Monitor Camera. This advanced feature (standard on the ‘4’ grade) displays a high-resolution video feed on the left or right side of the instrument cluster if the driver indicates to change lane with another vehicle hidden in their blind spot. To improve Sorento’s capability on low grip surfaces, every grade is fitted with Terrain Mode Select. This allows drivers to choose from ‘Mud’, ‘Snow’ and ‘Sand’ modes, to automatically optimise the drivetrain to best suit each scenario. The All-New Sorento is available from £38,845 for the ‘2’ self-charging hybrid. Watch out for further details about the Plug-in Hybrid which will be shared later this quarter.
